Lesson 9: Dust

There is truly something frightening about dust... and that is when there's enough of it, the sky turns the same color as the planet Riddick landed on in "Pitch Black" before everyone he was with was eaten by alien monsters. Other than that, it's actually kinda neat ;) See the crazy pics below:

1) Without flash... this is at 4 in the afternoon... wild, huh?

2) With flash... EEeeeww! Can you believe this stuff is going up our noses??!!!

Anyway, enough about dust... on a less disgusting note, I'm happy to report that I was able to see Scott when he transited through BIAP a few days ago. There's nothing like catching up with an old friend... and getting to hear all about his and Kristin's wedding plans!!! I'll be sending prayers and best wishes to you guys on Oct 12th! In the pic below, we're waving "hi" to everyone ;)

PPP:

1) I'm definitely being looked after out here... so far, I've run into not 1, not 2, but 3 folks who not only know me, but also the people I miss most back home! That, my friends, is no coincidence ;)

2) Everyday, I'm learning something new... that means by the time I get home, I should be 179 ways all the wiser...

3) Thank God, it's finally started to cool down! This may just be because we can't actually see the sun right now, but still... it's nice not living in a kiln.
