The Memory Palace

So the every once in a while I happen upon things that I think a lot of people would enjoy. A while back the freakonomics blog mentioned another blog, the memory palace. Although the publishing is almost as sporadic as meetthemessers, this has become one of the most exciting sites to see pop up on my rss reader.

Nate DiMeo is the owner. This guy has a gift. I don't know if he does his own research or not but he somehow finds interesting random topics to talk about. From Ben Franklin's ray gun to Marconi's wierd belief that sound exists forever, these are definatly things that don't come up in everyday life.

But that's not the only reason I love his podcasts. Nate has the rare ability to tell stories. Every cast he puts you in the story like few people can. Every time I find myself listening in a complete day dream as my mind's eye paints the images he's describing. This is a great site for those Mondays when you just need some imagination time.
