Sketch

Sudoku has a new friend! We brought "Rain" home from the Baltimore SPCA a couple weeks ago and promply re-named the little hippie-kitten to something more respectable... Sketch. We figured Doku was named after one of Adam's favorite pastimes, so why not name this one after one of mine? Adam and I have lucked out with our girls, considering neither one is a grudge-holder or hider (yet) and so far, there's only one place Doku's taken to scratching... Adam's Poang. And like a true little sister, Sketch has taken to doing whatever Doku does, so hopefully that will be the extent of her scratching endeavors.

All in all, Sketch is adjusting well (it took one dual-trip to the vet's office for them to bond and now Doku cleans Sketch more than she cleans herself), except for this bugger of a cold she can't kick... she likes to remind you of this fact by sneezing in your face repeatedly in the wee hours of the morning. Despite Doku's sweet nature, Adam and I have never been compelled to brag about her intellect, LOL. Sketch on the other hand, is going to be a handful... For example, this past week, I've had to force-feed her a dropper full of daily antibiotics by grabbing the scruff of her neck and pinning her to the ground while she squirmed all about. But not yesterday. Yesterday, she sat unusually still and took an entire dropper full without so much of a twitch. But the moment I let go, she drooled it out... all of it... and ran away happily as if to say, "I win!" What fun.

But really, they are fun and we don't feel so guilty leaving Doku home alone all day :) Hopefully, some of you will get to see Sketch before she''s all grown up! We have some pics posted in the gallery in the meantime...
